For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS in Whiting, New Jersey for sale in Whiting, NJ
Vehicle Description Selling my 1970 L78 396 Nova SS.
Vehicle is numbers matching motor, trans, and rear.
Car is painted in original Cranberry red with a black vinyl top and original black interior.
When I purchased the car I found some metal shavings in the oil due to someone tightening one of the rocker arms too much.
I had the motor rebuilt immediately with factory specs.
The rear was rebuilt as well with all new seals, 3:
55 ring and pinion, Brakes ECT.
Leaf springs were re-arched with new bushing.
I put 401 miles on the drivetrain since the rebuild.
The rebuilt motor has not seen over 3,000 RPMs yet due to not being broken in yet.
Transmission was professionally gone through and rebuilt in 2019.
This car runs and drives like new.
I have all receipts.
The car will come with the original front brake calipers and misc parts.
Car was purchased in CT and spent its entire life there till 2018.
Car has all original body panel and zero rust.
The Nova was garaged its entire life.
There was an article on this car.
It was published in Hemmings Motor News in 2014 describing its as original.
The car retains its original intake, distributor, starter, YJ 14 inch rally wheels, alternator, it even still has paper tags on front coil springs.
I have no factory paperwork with the car.
Previous owner claims Build sheet is still in the car somewhere.
Car runs and drives as it should.
Very hard to find in this condition.
Car has had 1,071 Miles put on it since 1994 (documented).
